Radnor, Pa. (Sept. 5, 2009) - Cabrini College (2-1) struck three times in the opening half and held Alvernia University (2-1) off the board for a 3-0 win Saturday evening in the championship game of the Cabrini College Men's Soccer Festival at Edith Robb Dixon Field.

The Cavaliers scored in the 13th and 15th minutes to take an early 2-0 lead and added the third in the 32nd minute.

Alvernia managed to push the offense forward tallying 11 shots on the day to 13 for the Cavs, but Brian Johnson stopped all six shots on goal for the shutout.

Alvernia will take the week to prepare for the Rutgers-Camden Tournament starting next Friday.
