Crusaders Fall 3-0 Against Wilkes

Alvernia Can't Muster Much Offense As Wilkes Capitalizes

Reading, Pa. (Sept. 8, 2009) - The Crusader Volleyball squad fell to 0-6 on the season with a 3-0 loss to Wilkes University in non-conference action this evening in the Physical Education Center on Alvernia's Campus.  Alvernia's lack of offense was to blame, as they managed just 13 kills all game and finished with an attack percentage of .000 after three games.

Sophomore Alyssa Soltis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) posted four kills on the day and Heather Shainline (Boyertown, Pa./St. Pius X) led the team with ten assists.  Wilkes was led by Marissa Harrison who had nine kills on the night.

Alvernia will look for their first win of the season when they travel to Philadelphia Bible for a tri-match with Philadelphia University on Sept. 12th.
