Glenside, Pa. (Oct. 2, 2010) - The 16 schools that comprise the Middle Atlantic Conference met in four different 4-team pods in a MAC Crossover women's volleyball event Saturday.  Alvernia University (4-9, 1-2) split its two matches with a 3-1 loss to Delaware Valley and a 3-2 win over Manhattanville University in matches played at Arcadia.

Anglea Altemose (Pottsville, Pa./Nativity BVM) led the way with a dozen kills in the opening match while Toni Maurer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) had 23 digs and Tori Beck (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) finished with 29 assists.

In the second match, the win over MVille, Altemose once again cranked up the offense with 18 kills while Beck handed out 34 assists and Maurer had 10 digs.

Alvernia returns to the conference schedule Tuesday hosting Widener University.
