Reading, Pa. (Oct. 23, 2010) - Junior Drew Gilbert (Reading, Pa./Anteitam) made 11 saves including one at the final horn and Alvernia University (8-6-2, 2-3-1) played Widener University (4-10-3, 0-4-2) to a 0-0 tie Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference men's soccer action at Schlager Memorial Field.

The Pride held a 19-12 advantage in shots with both teams able to generate opportunities without being able to capitalize.  Widener goalie Ryan Frantz stopped three for the Pride.

Alvernia and Lebanon Valley are tied for the fourth and final playoff spot with a week to play.  The Dutchmen host national top 10 Messiah next Wednesday and finish the season hosting Widener.  Alvernia, which lost its regular season match-up with Lebanon Valley, needs at least a tie next Saturday at Arcadia.

The Crusaders will have a non-conference warm up Tuesday with Delaware Valley.
