Glenside, Pa. (Oct. 30, 2010) - Alvernia University's (9-7-2, 2-4) shot at the Commonwealth Conference playoffs came to an end Saturday on the final day of the regular season with a 3-0 loss at Arcadia University (11-7, 5-2).

The Knights scored two second half goals in the span of three minutes to push a one-goal lead to a 3-0 spread, and locked up the second seed in the playoffs and a home semifinal on Tuesday.  Alvernia returns home for a week of practice before the ECAC bids are announced next Monday.

Alvernia junior Drew Gilbert (Reading, Pa./Antietam) kept the Crusaders in Saturday's match-up with 10 saves, but the offense couldn't capitalize.
