Glenside, Pa. (Oct. 30, 2010) - Arcadia University (14-3-1, 6-1) scored a pair of second half goals -- one five minutes into the half and the other with five minutes left -- in a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (12-4-4, 2-2-3) in a Commonwealth Conference women's soccer match up at Arcadia.

Both teams will advance to the conference tournament.  Alvernia earns the fourth seed and will travel to #1 Messiah on Wednesday while Arcadia earns a home game with #3 Lebanon Valley.

Arcadia opened the scoring Saturday with an unassisted goal in the 41st minute, the only goal of the first half.  The Scarlet Knights, who ran off 15 of their 23 shots in the second half, took a 2-0 lead in the 51st minute and capped the scoring in the 86th minute.

Alvernia senior Kirsten Kelley (Kirkwood, Pa./Bishop Shanahan) finished with a dozen saves.
