Pomona, N.J. (Oct. 6, 2010) - Richard Stockton (8-4-1) scored with under seven minutes to play for a 2-1 win over Alvernia University (6-4-1) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's soccer action at Stockton.  Alvernia sophomore Shaq Hudson (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) scored his first goal of the season for the Crusaders.

Stockton opened the scoring as time ran down in the first half when Brennen Fitzsimmons found the back of the net with four seconds left in the half.

Hudson's first of the season came six minutes into the second half unassisted and the Osprey got a goal from Rafael Duarte in the 84th minute on one of his 12 shots for the night.  The Osprey finished with a 23-5 advantage in shots, but needed the late goal thanks to seven saves from Alvernia keeper Drew Gilbert (Reading, Pa./Antietam).

Alvernia returns home to host Lebanon Valley College Saturday for homecoming.
