EJ Logan (Frederick, Md./Frederick) scored his third goal of the season and Alvernia (3-1-1) topped a former Pennsylvania Athletic Conference foe for the second straight day with a 1-0 win over Cabrini College (0-5) Sunday afternoon at the Jimmy Mills Men's Soccer Tournament hosted by Haverford College.

Alvernia entered the game with just two wins in 15 tries against the Cavs, but handled Cabrini on Sunday with a 16-11 advantage in shots and a 4-2 lead in corners. Diller made both of his saves in the first half and Cabrini keeper Chris Girolamo recorded all five of his saves before halftime.
With three wins in the first five games, Alvernia is off to the best start since the '06 team rattled off five straight wins to start the season 5-1-1. The Crusaders continue the season Wednesday at Rosemont.
