Madison, N.J. (Sept. 11, 2010) - Drew University (3-1) scored early in both halves and held off a comeback effort from Alvernia University (3-2) for a 2-1 win Saturday afternoon in game one of the Drew Fall Fest Women's Soccer Tournament.
The host Rangers scored in the eighth minute of play on a corner kick play and held the 1-0 lead at halftime. They doubled their lead with a second score six minutes into the second half.

Colleen Klusewitz (Reading, Pa./Muhlenberg) beat the Drew keeper to a cross in the 68th minute and knocked home her second goal of the season to cut the lead in half, but the Crusaders couldn't find the equalizer.

Colleen Maher (Wall, N.J./Wall Township) made a pair of saves in net for the Crusaders in her first career start.
Alvernia continues at the Drew Fall Fest Sunday against Richard Stockton.
