Reading, Pa. (Oct. 15, 2011) - Alvernia University sophomore Rachel Gimber (Gilbertsville, Pa./Boyertown) seemed the have the golden touch late with a goal in the 81st minute, but Albright found a way to score the equalizer in the final minute and force a 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action at Schlager Memorial Field.

Gimber took the ball down the left side and cut across the middle at the top of the 18-yard box before lifting a shot over the outstretched arms of Albright goalie Olivia Guiliano for the first goal of the game.  The Crusaders were content to play defense for the last night minutes and came within 36 seconds of making it stand before an innocent looking shot from Alee Gormley caught Alvernia keeper Jamie Dearie between rushing out and staying back.  Dearie couldn't quite get to the ball which bounded over her head and into the net.

Alvernia ripped off five of its 19 shots for the game in the extra 20 minutes, but Guiliano recorded four of her nine saves in overtime to preserve the tie.

The Crusaders continue the conference schedule Tuesday at Widener at 7:00 p.m.
