Harrisburg, Pa. (Sept. 15, 2011) - Alvernia University (5-3) had little trouble bouncing back from Tuesday's loss with a 3-0 win over Penn State-Harrisburg (2-5) Thursday evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at Harrisburg.

Alyssa Soltis (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) led the Crusaders with six kills and Tori Beck (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) handed out 12 assists.  Toni Maurer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) had a match-high 15 digs.

Alvernia cruised to a 25-13 win in the opening set then held on for a 25-21 win in set two and closed the match 25-14.

The Crusaders return home to host a tri-match Saturday with Delaware Valley and Immaculata starting at 9:00 a.m.
