Williamsport, Pa. (Oct. 3, 2012) - Lycoming College (14-4, 2-2) earned a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (8-9, 2-3) Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball action at Lamade Gymnasium.

The Warriors won 25-16 in the opening set, followed with a 25-18 win in the second set, and closed the match with a 25-16 win.

Alvernia got a team-high 10 kills from Brittany Wolfe (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove), 17 assists from Tori Beck (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown), and 10 digs from Toni Maurer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh).

The Crusaders will host a MAC crossover match this Saturday at the Physical Education Center when King's and Wilkes come to town to represent the Freedom and will square off with Alvernia and Arcadia.  The crossover starts at 9:00 a.m. with Alvernia facing King's.
