Stevenson Blanks Crusaders 3-0

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 9, 2012) - The Alvernia University (9-11, 2-4) Volleyball team fell to visiting Stevenson (25-2, 6-0) by a score of 3-0 Tuesday evening in Commonwealth Conference action at the Physical Education Center on Alvernia's campus.  The Mustangs from Stevenson took the first set 25-11, the second set 25-17, and wrapped it up with a 25-15 score in the third and final set.

Playing well defensively for the Crusaders were Brittanie Wolfe (Pine Grove, Pa./Pine Grove) and Toni Maurer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) who both recorded seven digs, while junior Kristen Rupp (Cranford, NJ./Cranford) provided six kills.

The Crusaders look to get back on the winning track October 12th when they head to the Kean University Tournament, while their next home game is against Widener University on October 25th at 7 pm.
