Grantham, Pa. (Oct. 15, 2013) - Eighth-ranked Messiah College (10-2-1, 3-0) scored three times in the second half en route to a 4-0 win over Alvernia University (8-6-1, 0-4) Tuesday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action at Messiah.

The Falcons scored in the 12th minute and Alvernia keeper Colleen Maher (Wall, N.J./Wall Township) made seven saves in the first half to keep the Crusaders within on at the break.

Messiah scored eight minutes into the second half then added a third goal in the 68th minute and a penalty kick goal in the 80th minute.

The Crusaders host Lycoming College on Saturday.
