Reading, Pa. (Oct. 2, 2013) - Lycoming College (14-7, 2-2) earned a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (3-11, 0-4) Wednesday evening in Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball action at Jack McCloskey Court.

Lycoming won 25-19 in the first set, 25-20 in the second, and closed the match with a 25-17 win in the third.

Alvernia got a match-high 10 kills from junior Liz Newman (Fleetwood, Pa./Brandywine Heights), 21 assists from freshman Jamie Morris (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven), and 13 digs from Toni Maurer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh).

The Crusaders travel to Manhattanville Saturday for a MAC Crossover match with King's and Albright.
