Crusaders Earn 1-1 Draw With Arcadia

Maher Saves 11 For Alvernia

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 23, 2013) - Senior goalie Colleen Maher (Wall, N.J./Wall Township) made 11 saves and Alvernia University (9-6-2, 1-4-1) earned a 1-1 draw with Arcadia University (10-1-5, 3-0-3) in a Commonwealth Conference Women's Soccer game on a chilly Tuesday night at Alvernia University. 

Senior Kelsey Gill (State College, Pa/ State College Area) scored early in the 15th minute off an assist from freshman Bri McGrath (Sicklerville, N.J./ Winslow) to give Alvernia the lead. 

The Crusaders were shut down the rest of the game by Arcadia, which scored in the 63rd minute to tie up the game. 

The Crusaders will face Albright College on October 29 at 7:00pm in a Commonwealth Conference rivalry.
