Reading, Pa. (Oct. 24, 2013) - Penn State-Berks (14-11) took a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (5-15) Thursday evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at Berks.

The Lions earned the win with set wins of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-17.

Liz Newman (Fleetwood, Pa./Brandywine Heights) led the Crusaders with 10 kills and Teresa Zevala (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) had a team-high 13 digs.

Alvernia continues the season at the Penn State-Abington Quad Match on Saturday.
