Abington, Pa. (Oct. 26, 2013) - Alvernia University (5-18) dropped three matches at the Penn State-Abington Women's Volleyball Quad Match Saturday.

The Crusaders fell 3-1 to Ursinus in the opening match of the day, dropped a 3-0 decision to Susquehanna, and lost 3-1 to the host Lions in the third match of the day.

Liz Newman (Fletwood, Pa./Brandywine Heights) led the way for the Crusaders with 27 kills.  Kristen Rupp (Cranford, N.J./Cranford) added 24.  Jamie Morris (Wallingford, Pa./Strath Haven) had 67 assists over three matches and Teresa Zavala (Temple, Pa./Muhlenberg) had a team-high 27 digs.

Alvernia continues the season at Lancaster Bible on Monday.
