Owings Mills, Md. (Oct. 8, 2013) - Alvernia (4-13, 0-6) fell to host and #20 ranked Stevenson University (25-1, 4-0) Tuesday evening in Commonwealth Conference volleyball action by a score of 3-0.  The Mustangs took the first set 25-10, followed that with a 25-8 second set, and ended the game after another 25-10 third set.

The Crusaders managed just nine kills on the night while posting a negative kill percentage (-.117).  Kristen Rupp (Cranford, NJ/Cranford) posted two kills, five digs and Alvernia's lone service ace.  Toni Mauer (Center Valley, Pa./Southern Lehigh) led Alvernia with seven digs.

Alvernia is back in action on Wed. Oct. 16th when they host Arcadia University at 7:00pm in a Commonwealth Conference match-up.
