Aston, Pa. (Sept. 25, 2013) - Alvernia University (3-6) was shutout this evening at Neumann University and fell by a score of 1-0 in non-conference action.  The Knights (4-2-2) managed their lone goal in the 61st minute, while the Neumann goalkeeper tallied three saves to preserve the shutout.

Shots were even at eight for both squads, while the Crusaders earned four corner kicks to Neumann's three.  Alvernia goalkeeper David Giannini (Harleysville, Pa./Faith Christian) played the full 90 minutes in net and recorded one save.

The Crusaders have now lost five straight and will look to get back on the winning track Wed. Oct. 2nd when they host King's College at 4:00pm.
