Game-Winner Comes At 88:50

BOX SCORE
Radnor, Pa. (Sept. 7, 2013) - Junior midfielder RJ Fisher (Philadelphia, Pa./Roman Catholic) netted two goals, including the game-winner at 88:50 as Alvernia (3-1) defeated Cabrini (0-3-2) 2-1 Saturday afternoon in non-conference action at Cabrini.

The Cavaliers got on the board first with a goal at 10:53 before Alvernia quickly answered with Fisher's first goal at 13:39, a rebound off a direct kick.  The score remained knotted at one through the remainder of the first half with Alvernia out shooting Cabrini 6-2, and earning two corner kicks to Cabrini's one.

The game seemed headed for overtime through the second half with just two shots on goal from Cabrini and none from Alvernia.  The Crusaders finally broke through with the game-winner at 88:50, again from Fisher, assisted by Josh Wollaston (Middletown, De./Caravel Academy).

Matt Wells (Linwood, Pa./Chichester) played the first half in net, tallying one save and surrendering a goal.  David Giannini (Harleysville, Pa./Faith Christian) played the final 45 minutes in goal, recording two saves.

Alvernia is back in action on Sept. 11th when they host York College at 4:00pm.
