Reading, Pa (Oct. 18, 2014) – Lebanon Valley College (11-2-1) scored two second-half goals in 28 seconds to seal a 4-1 win over Alvernia University (5-10) Saturday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference Women's Soccer action at Alvernia.
The Dutchmen hit the board twice in the first half, scoring first in the 35
th minute on a goal by senior Amanda Dougless, assisted by sophomore Sammy Bost. Two minutes later, Lebanon Valley took a 2-0 lead when Bost scored a goal of her own.
The Crusaders came within in one goal as they opened scoring in the second half. In the 48

Erica Dunkelberger took a shot from the 30 which sailed just over the reach of the Dutchmen keeper Taylor Reinholdto bring the score to 2-1.
Lebanon Valley gave itself distance ten minutes later, netting back to back goals in the 58
th minute. LVC scores by Douglass and Murray game the Dutchmen the 4-1 advantage on the day.
Jessica Plunkett took the loss in the net for the Crusaders, collecting nine saves on the day.
Alvernia returns to competition Monday, taking a break from its conference game run to face Gwynedd Mercy on the road at 5:30.
