Lancaster, Pa. (Dec. 13, 2014) - Franklin and Marshall College (2-7) scored 41 points in each half in an 82-67 win over Alvernia University (3-4) Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's basketball action at The Mayser Center.
The Diplomats broke a 28-all tie with just under four minutes left in the first half, and closed the half with a 13-6 run for a seven point lead at the break.
F&M doubled the lead early in the second half and led by double digits until Alvernia put together an 8-0 run capped by an
Olivia Andrefski 3 to pull within six, 67-61 with 5:02 to play.
F&M answered with nine of the next 11 points for a comfortable 13-point lead with just over three minutes to play.
Andrefski led the way for the Crusaders with 18 points and five rebounds.
Alvernia returns home to host Misericordia on Monday.
