Susquehanna, Pa. (Sept. 10, 2014) - Shannon Browne scored her third goal of the season and Kristen Eckert added her first as Alvernia University (3-3) earned a 2-0 win over Susquehanna University (1-3-1) Wednesday evening in women's soccer action.

Assisted by Bailey Stover, Browne put Alvernia on the board in the 11th minute with a shot behind Susquehanna goalie Jordyn Slocum.  In the second half, Hannah Mallets set up Kristen Eckert, who went high right to give Alvernia the 2-0 lead.

Susquehanna had three corner opportunities in the second half, but couldn't put threatening shots on net.

Both teams had eight shots on the evening, with Jessica Plunkett collecting three saves and her second shut out of the season.

Alvernia looks to continue its winning streak Saturday, taking on Rutgers Camden at home at 1:00 pm
