Lancaster, Pa. (Sept. 3, 2014) - Franklin and Marshall (2-0) netted three goals in the first half on their way to defeating Alvernia (1-1) by a score of 7-1 Wednesday evening at F&M.
The Diplomats, who are currently ranked eighth nationally by the NFHCA, opened scoring in the 12th minute with a goal by Sydney Cole for the 1-0 lead. The Crusaders struck back, answering less than five minutes later.

F&M added insurance at 22:04 and 30:58 for the 3-1 lead at the half. The Diplomats went on to score four unanswered goals in the second half en route to their win.
Alvernia managed just three shots in the contest, coming from Liberto, Wentzel and
Melanie Lowry.
Erin Wunsch took the loss in goal for Alvernia, facing 20 shots on goal and securing 13 saves in her 70 minutes of action.
Alvernia is back in action on Saturday Sept. 6th when it travels to Virginia to take on Lynchburg College.
