Rosemont, Pa. (Sept. 6, 2014) - Alvernia University (3-3) evened up its overall record with a sweep of a tri-match at Rosemont College Saturday afternoon.  The Crusaders defeated host Rosemont by a 3-0 count and knocked off St. Elizabeth by the same score.

Liz Newman was tremendous in the match against St. Elizabeth racking up 12 kills on 18 attempts without an error.  Freshman Kristen Sipling had a consistent afternoon with seven kills in each match.  Jamie Morris had 23 assists in the win over St. Elizabeth and 18 more in the win over Rosemont.

Alvernia hits the conference schedule on Wednesday with a trip to crosstown rival Albright.
