Reading, Pa. (Oct. 27, 2015) - Alvernia University (10-7, 3-4) came up just short, falling 2-1 in overtime to cross town rival Albright College (11-7,4-3) Tuesday evening in MAC Commonwealth Conference action on Alvernia's Turf field.
The Lions netted the game winner with just over three minutes left in the first overtime. After a scuffle in front of the net, Albright came out with the ball for the 2-1 margin.
Alvernia held the offensive advantage in overtime, putting together seven shots in a twelve minute span with six off the stick of
Margaret Wentzel.
The Crusaders took to the board first on the night, pulling ahead 1-0 just before the five minute mark. On an Alvernia corner,
