Radnor, Pa. (Oct. 31, 2015) - Junior Margaret Wentzel scored a pair of goals--including her league-leading 27th of the season--to lead Alvernia University (12-7) to a 3-0 win over Cabrini College (10-8) Saturday afternoon in non-conference field hockey action at Cabrini.

With Tuesday's 3-2 win over Misericordia, the Crusaders have finished the regular season with wins over two teams that qualified for the postseason in their respective leagues.

Alvernia opened the scoring in the 22nd minute on Saturday when Alyson Keene scored her first goal of the season.

The Crusaders kept the 1-0 lead into the halftime break and Wentzel finished a rebound of her own shot in the 56th minute then made it 3-0 Alvernia with another rebound goal two minutes later.

Rebecca Brosious made five saves in net for the Crusaders to recordd her second shutout of the season.

Alvernia will await an Eastern College Athletic Conference bid to be announced Monday, November 9.
