Greensboro, N.C. (Mar. 4, 2015) - Greensboro College (1-3) scored seven times in the second quarter to run out to an 11-1 lead at the halftime break on its way to a 17-2 win over Alvernia University (1-2) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Greensboro.
Greensboro opened up a 4-1 lead after one quarter then scored seven unanswered in the second.
Alvernia scored single goals in the first and the third.Â
Colin Rothweiler scored unassisted at the end of the first quarter and
Brian Schay scored assisted by
Kyle Farrell at the end of the third quarter.
Mason Etier made five saves and gave up nine goals over 38 minutes.Â
Billy Tharp played the final 20 minutes and also recorded five saves.
Alvernia continues its non-conference Carolina tour facing Methodist College on Friday.
