Frederick, Md. (Apr. 15, 2015) - Stevenson University (8-6, 4-1) defeated Alvernia University (6-6, 2-4) by an 18-4 final Wednesday afternoon in Commonwealth Conference women's lacrosse action at Stevenson.
The Mustangs score nine times in both the first and second half for the win.
The Crusaders posted two goals in each half.
Brooke Campione and
Julie Sutton both scored early in the game to keep the Crusaders within one goal until the 8:00 minute mark in the first half.
Candace Knight and
Abby McCarthy collected their goals in the second half, with McCarthy goals serving as the last of the contest.
Colleen Reilly and
Kallie Taylor both saw time in the goal for Alvernia. Reilly recorded nine saves while Taylor had two.
The Crusaders continue Commonwealth play next Tuesday, traveling to Messiah College.
