Selinsgrove, Pa. (Sept. 1, 2015) - Susquehanna University (2-0) jumped out to an early lead with a 25-8 win in the first set then added 17 and 13 wins in sets 2 and 3 for a 3-0 win over Alvernia University (0-1) Tuesday evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at Susquehanna.

The Crusaders were led by a young lineup with first year players leading the way in kills, aces, assists, and digs.  Freshman setter Lauryn Snyder opened her career with seven assists and an ace.  Laura Wachowicz racked up five kills, and classmate Alexandra Stroia finished with four digs.

Susquehanna got a match-high 12 kills from Morgan Whiteman.

Alvernia continues the season this coming weekend at the Greyhound Premiere hosted by Moravian College.
