St. Davids, Pa. (Sept. 16., 2015) - Eastern University (4-1) used two second-half goals to secure a 2-1 victory over Alvernia University (2-3) Wednesday afternoon in non-conference action at Eastern.
The Crusaders jumped on the board first, taking a 1-0 lead late in the first half. In the 21st minute,

Paige Epler to pick up her seventh goal of the season.

Rebecca Brosious was flawless through the first 45 minutes, gathering 13 saves, including four taken from Eastern corners.
The Eagles collected their pair of goals in a 46th and 48th minutes, converting twice on four shots in a two-minute span.
Brosious added four more saves in the final 22 minutes to finish with a season-high 17. The Crusaders defense combined for seven blocks on the day, with
Alexis Krall picking up her first defensive save.
Alvernia takes to the road again on Saturday, traveling to Wilkes University for a 12:00 start.
