Allentown, Pa. (Sept. 19, 2015) - Alvernia University (6-6) split a pair of matches at the Muhlenberg College Tri-match Saturday afternoon losing to the host Muhls 3-0 then beating Hunter College 3-0.

Muhlenberg took the opening match 25-17, 25-11, 25-20.  The Crusaders finished with a negative hitting percentage totaling 26 kills and 28 errors.  Laura Wachowicz and Emily Smith led the way with six kills apiece in the opening.

The offense was much more efficient in match two hitting .348 as a team.  Wachowicz and Smith both finished with six kills each and Kristen Sipling led the way with 14 kills.

The Crusaders won match two 25-19, 25-20, 25-20.

Alvernia returns to the conference schedule Wednesday when it hosts Arcadia University.
