Reading, Pa. (Oct. 13, 2016) - Alvernia University (7-14)  won in three straight games against Penn State Berks (15-7) Thursday evening in non-conference women's volleyball action at Berks.

Alvernia started the evening by dominating the first set by a final score of 25-18. The Lions kept the next set close but the Crusaders fought back to win the second set 26-24. Alvernia closed out the match with a hard fought third set by the score of 25-13.  

Alvernia was lead by sophomore Emily Smith who had 19 kills on the evening.

Alvernia travels back home for the last home tri-match of the year on Saturday October 22.
