Glenside, Pa. (Oct. 5, 2016) - Alvernia University (5-11, 1-4) lost in three straight sets to Arcadia University (9-10, 2-3) Wednesday night in MAC Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball action at Arcadia.

Arcadia took an early lead in each of the first two sets.  The Knights won the first set by a final of 25-15 then took a commanding match lead with a 25-11 win in set number 2. Alvernia lead midway through the third with a score of 12-11, but a late game rally by the Knights helped turn the tide and led to a 25-19 win.

Alvernia was lead by Kristen Sipling who had 10 kills and seven digs.

Alvernia travels to Union, NJ, to compete in a two day tournament at Kean University.
