Ft. Myers, Fla. (Mar. 10, 2016) - Alvernia University scored six runs in the first inning and five more in the sixth in a 15-8 win over Wisconsin Lutheran Thursday in non-conference baseball at Terry Park.

Connor Boyle went 5-for-6 in the leadoff spot wtih three runs scored and a pair of RBIs. Four other Crusaders had multi-hit games, and
John Catchmark improved to 2-0 allowing four runs--three earned--over 5.0 innings with three strikeouts.
Cameron Coons delivered a 2-run double to get the offense going in the first inning and Boyle capped the scoring with a 2-out, 2-run single--his second hit of the inning.
Nathan Sides ripped a 2-run double in the sixth and
Ben Dubas added a 2-out, 2-run single as the Crusaders put together three straight hits with two outs to break out to a 14-6 lead.
Boyle had a chance to tie the school record for hits in a game in the seventh, but grounded out to second.
Alvernia wraps up the spring break trip playing two against Mitchell College--a 2015 participant in the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Regional.
