Ft. Myers, Fla. (Mar. 8, 2016) - Ohio Weselyan scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth for a 5-4 win over Alvernia University Tuesday in non-conference baseball at Terry Park.
Alvernia got on the board with a 2-run double from senior designated hitter
Chris Burns and took a 4-1 lead with a run in the top of the sixth. Ohio Wesleyan tied the game with three runs in the bottom of the sixth then won it in the ninth.
Ryan Sheekey started and went 6.0 innings for the Crusaders allowing four runs on 10 hits with seven strikeouts. Five different players collected a hit apiece for the Crusaders and Burns finished with three RBIs.
Alvernia continues the spring break trip playing Theil on Wednesday.
