Reading, Pa. (Mar. 19, 2016) - Immaculata University (3-4) scored three goals in the beginning of the fourth quarter en route to a 14-10 win over Alvernia University (2-5) Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Alvernia.

The fourth quarter opened up with an illegal stick penalty against the Crusaders to give the Mighty Macs a three minute, non-releasable extra man advantage. In this time, the Mighty Macs scored three goals to give them an 11-7 lead. Both Tyler Black and Mike Reardon had four goals on the day for Immaculata.

The Mighty Macs had a 2-1 lead at the end of the first quarter and extended their lead to 6-3 by halftime. Freshman Jarret Abernethy lead the Crusaders with four goals, two in each half.

Senior Brett Gardels had two goals and junior Benjamin Manning had one goal and two assists. Freshman goalie Kyle Augustine had seven saves on the day.

The Crusaders will travel to Bryn Athyn College next Wednesday for another non-conference game.
