Purchase, NY. (March 5, 2016) - Junior Ed Motherway and Andrew Murray had game highs of 5 goals each to lead Manhattanville College (2-1) to a 11-3 win over Alvernia University (1-3) Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's lacrosse action at Manhattanville.
Motherway and Murray started their scoring early in the first quarter both tallying a goal for the Valiants who held a 3-1 lead over the Crusaders at the end of the first quarter.
Manhattanville added two more goals in the second quarter to carry a 5-3 lead into the half.
Junior
Patrick Dunn led the Crusaders with two goals. Dunn scored once in the first quarter and again in the second..
The Valiants scored six goals in the second half while keeping the Crusaders off the score sheet.
Freshman
Kyle Augustine had nine saves for the Crusaders and
Jacob O'Donnell had one.
Alvernia returns to action next Saturday to face Moravian College at home
