Reading, Pa. (Apr. 10, 2016) – Alvernia University (4-5, 0-3) notched five goals in the second half of a 13-5 loss to Lebanon Valley College (6-4, 2-0) Sunday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth women's lacrosse action on the Alvernia Turf Field.
The Dutchmen opened with a strong lead, collecting nine goals in the first half.
The Crusaders outscored LVC 5-4 in the second half.
Alvernia put away its first goal of the day just over a minute into the second half.
Tequila Donnelly netted her eighth of the season on a free position shot.
Alyson Keene then hit her stride, scoring a pair in a minute span. With 25 minutes left to play, Keene used the feed from Donnelly to cut the Dutchmen lead 9-2. She then partnered with
Taylor Dorrin for her seventh of the year to shorten the gap 9-3.
Lebanon Valley responded back, putting together its own 3-goal run.
Brooke Campione gave Alvernia its final two goals of the day. After notching her first with the help of Donnelly, Campione ripped a solo shot for her 10
th of the year.

Samantha Rothman all saw time in goal for the Crusaders. The trio combined for 12 saves.
Alvernia continues its run of MAC Commonwealth games on Wednesday, traveling to Albright College for a 4:00 game.
