Reading, Pa. (Apr. 16, 2016) - Alvernia University's (4-7) pair of four goal halves came up short as Fairleigh Dickinson (7-6) captured a 15-8 win in non-conference women's lacrosse action Saturday afternoon on Alvernia's turf field.
FDU took an early lead, scoring twice in the first ten minutes. Alvernia fought back strong, netting three goals in three minutes.

Brooke Campione and
Julie Sutton each notched unassisted goals, establishing a 3-2 margin.
The Devils responded with a three-goal run of their own, pulling ahead 5-3. Campione brought the Crusaders within one off the set up pass from Sutton, but FDU ripped two more goals before the half to hold a 7-4 advantage with 30 minutes left to play.
Alvernia scored first in the second half as
Angel Adams cut the deficit to two. The Devils kept driving the net, putting away eight goals across the half.
Sutton and Campione capped off the scoring for the Crusaders in the final two minutes. The duo finished the day with three goals a piece.
Alvernia returns to play on Wednesday, traveling to Arcadia for MAC Commonwealth action at 7:00 pm.
