Reading, Pa (April 20, 2016) - Arcadia University (4-10, 1-4) scored six straight goals in the first half en route to a 8-6 win over Alvernia University (3-11, 0-5) Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth men's lacrosse action at Alvernia.
The game opened up with Chris Jacovino for the Knights scoring an early goal. Ryan Green added two of his three later in the first quarter for a 3-0 Arcadia lead after the first 15 minutes. Arcadia notched three more goals in the second period to bring its lead to 6-0. The Crusaders gained a little momentum scoring two goals late in the second period to bring the score 6-2 at the half.
The Crusaders rallied in the fourth period scoring three straight goals to pull within two at 8-6, but could get no closer. Freshman
Jarret Abernethy lead the scoring with three goals on the day while
Andrew Ritchie handed out three assists.

The Crusaders stay at home as they face Hood College in conference play this Saturday.
