Crusaders Drop A Pair At Moravian

BOX SCORE Bethlehem, Pa. (Sep. 02, 2016) - Alvernia University (0-2) dropped a pair of matches to open up its season at the Annual Greyhound Premiere Tournament at Moravian College Friday night.
 
In the opener Alvernia lost three straight games 25-22, 25-18, and 25-14 to Ursinus College. Sophomore Emily Smith lead the Crusaders with seven kills and Jill baker had six. Abby O'Donnell finished the match with 27 assists and three aces.
 
The Crusaders lost the second match 3-1 to University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. The Crusaders won the second game to even the score up 1-1 only to have the Panthers win the next two games. Junior Kristen Sipling lead the Crusaders with 13 kills. Freshman Ericka McKee had a team-high 17 digs on the evening.
 
The Crusaders stay at Moravian to compete in two more games to finish out the tournament.
