Reading, Pa (Sep. 24, 2016) - Alvernia University (4-6) won both matches at a home tri-match Saturday afternoon.
The Crusaders won the first match on the day with a final score of 3-0 over Rosemont College (0-9). Alvernia dominated the first set winning by a final score of 25-5. The Crusaders then claimed the next two sets by a final score of 25-13 and 25-15.
Kristin Sipling lead the way with a match high 15 kills.
Alvernia won its second match on the day by a final score of 3-1. The Crusaders took the first set with a score of 25-12.
Marywood College (4-13) stole the second set to even up the score 1-1. Alvernia then finished the day by winning the last two sets with the final score of 25-16 and 25-17. Laura Wachowiczlead way with 16 kills and 14 digs
Alvernia stays at home to face conference opponent Widener University Tuesday night at 7:00 pm.
