Williamsport, Pa. (Sep. 7, 2016) - Alvernia University (1-4, 0-1) lost 3-1 at Lycoming College (4-1, 1-0) Wednesday evening in the first MAC Commonwealth Conference women's volleyball match of the season for both schools.

The Warriors jumped out to an early lead claiming the first set 25-16  The hosts then took a 2-0 lead winning the next set by a score of 25-13. The Crusaders rallied back to win the third set with a final score of 25-22. Lycoming College closed out the evening winning the final set with a score of 25-14.

The Crusaders were lead by Kristen Sipling lead with 16 kills and Emily Smith who had 10 kills and 11 digs.

The Crusaders return home for the Alvernia Tri-Match this Saturday.
