Reading, Pa. (Oct. 14, 2017) - Eleventh-ranked Lycoming College (14-1, 5-0) scored a goal in the 18th minute and it stood for a 1-0 win over Alvernia University (6-8-1, 1-4) Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth men's soccer action at Alvernia.

The Warriors' Duc Momo finished off an assist from Jordan Logan with a little better than 25 minutes left in the first half.

The Golden Wolves mustered four shots in the second half, but couldn't find the equalizer.  Their best chance may have come in the final minute of play when senior keeper Zach Rider hustled into the offensive end and nearly got his head on a dangerous throw-in.

Lycoming keeper Chris Solecki made three saves to record the win.  Rider finished with eight in net for the Golden Wolves.

Alvernia continues the conference schedule on Tuesday when it hosts crosstown rival Albright College.
