Reading, Pa (Oct. 18, 2017) - Albright College (9-5-1, 3-1-1) needed just one goal to take a 1-0 win over Alvernia University (5-9-1, 2-4) during MAC Commonwealth Conference women's soccer action on Wednesday night at Alvernia.
The Lions' Jillian Lapidus fed a pass into Morgan Valera early in the 18th minute of play. Valera beat two Alvernia defenders before sending a shot that bounced off the left post and into goal.
The Golden Wolves only had one shot on goal opportunity.
Lauren Gough was able to send one in towards the net with 25 minutes remaining, but Albright's Alexis Tunney made the save and kept the game at 1-0.

The Golden Wolves have two games remaining, both against MAC Commonwealth Conference foes. Alvernia faces Widener on the road on Saturday, and returns home to conclude the regular season against Stevenson.
The Pride and the Mustangs are currently the two teams standing between the Golden Wolves and the fifth MAC Commonwealth playoff position.
