Reading, Pa. (Oct. 4, 2017) - Arcadia University (12-7, 4-1) defeated Alvernia University (12-6, 3-2) by a 3-0 final Wednesday evening in MAC Commonwealth women's volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

The Knights put together an 11-2 run in the first set on their way to a 25-15 win in the opener, came back with a 25-17 win in the second set, and finished the match with a 25-19 win in the third set.  

Arcadia got strong play from its front line hitting .366 on the night with six blocks.

Alvernia got 12 kills from senior Kristen Sipling and nine digs from Aubrey Gruwell-Keating.

???????Alvernia heads to the FDU-Florham Tri-match this Saturday and returns to conference play next Tuesday at Lebanon Valley.
