Madison, N.J. (Oct. 7, 2017) - Alvernia University (13-7) split a pair of matches at the FDU-Florham Tri-Match Saturday in non-conference women's volleyball action.
FDU won the opening match of the day 3-0 then Alvernia bounced back with a 3-1 win over Brooklyn College.
Emily Smith had a season-high 21 kills in the win over Brooklyn and added 16 digs.
Brooklyn won the first set of the second match, 25-20, then Alvernia came back with three straight set wins, 25-16, 25-21, and 25-19.
Alvernia returns to the conference schedule at Lebanon Valley on Tuesday.
