Owings Mill, Md. (Nov. 1, 2017) - Top-seeded and 15th ranked Stevenson University (31-1) defeated #5 Alvernia University (16-12) by a 3-0 final in the MAC Commonwealth Women's Volleyball semifinal Wednesday evening at Stevenson.

The Mustangs won 25-12 in both of the first two sets then finished the match with a 25-20 win in the third.

Senior Kristen Sipling had six kills and eight digs to lead Alvernia.

The Mustangs will host #2 Arcadia in the final on Saturday.  The Knights defeated #3 Lebanon Valley 3-1 in the other semifinal on Wednesday.

Alvernia will await a possible ECAC bid on Monday.
